What size sound system do I need?
For private hires such as parties, conferences and weddings. We tend to keep it simple with the following rules of thumb. If your numbers fall between 70 and 120, personal preference would apply depending on your budget. Save a little money or ensure good audio coverage and some extra sound, especially when it comes to partying!.
If for whatever reason you have concerns such as a narrow but long room or a short length but wide room. Get in touch and we can advise on the best possible options. We have hired to many venues in West / South Wales so are familiar with lots of venue requirements. If you are using a marquee and still have questions, just drop us a line.

We would recommend 2 upgrades.
2 extra repeater speakers further down your venue / marquee – (Especially if speeches are being done).
or if your numbers are 200 plus. double stacking your speakers at the end which would basically be 2 of the 120 people package. To get an accurate cost, you would be better emailing or calling us to save money and hiring the individual pieces you need.
Can I plug my tablet/phone into a speaker system?
Absolutely. We can supply a range of cables to plug Android/iPhones/Laptops into our speaker systems. By hiring just a speaker package such as those above. You can save over £200 compared to a traditional wedding DJ. You can setup a playlist on Spotify or Amazon Music and let it play away. You are guaranteed the music you all love!. – Make sure you tell us when hiring what connector you need.
How long can we hire the equipment for?
However long you need. If you would like to hire an extra day to ensure you can test everything or just have peace of mind or perhaps wish to hire a bit longer for friends and family who could be staying with you, to have a private dance. Whatever your needs just let us know. We are truly flexible and you can rent your sound systems for as long as needed. From 1 day to 1 week or more. Whatever you need we are here.
How much power do we need?
This is often seen as a silly question but many weddings or parties are held in remote or home locations and use marquees or tipi’s. Therefore people bring in generators.
The short answer is. It will depend on what you hire. If you were to hire a small sound system and a small lighting package we would need around 3kw of power. Always hire a generator that gives you extra headroom for load. So if your total need is 6kw, hire a 10 or 12kva generator.
Do you supply the power cables?
Yes we will. We will only supply the power cables to connect our equipment together and 1 mains power cable. If you are hiring power and generators in. Please ensure there is either 1x 16a socket nearby or 2x 13amp sockets.
If you are hiring in other items from us or elsewhere and need additional cables. Such as for a bar or some form of entertainment booth. We can supply additional power leads and distribution boxes. Just let us know what you need and we can help on what’s required.
What lights should I consider for the disco?
Another general rule of thumb would be our medium light package. Not only does it make things symmetrical but it provides a proper full experience with our high quality speaker systems. It will really top off your wedding and it will make for great photos!. Our middle light package is the most popular.
If you are hiring a marquee or you have some great features outside. You may want to consider an uplighting package of LED bars or wireless uplighters. It really creates something spectacular for your big day!.

I have a band playing and only need some bits and pieces, is that ok?
Of course, whether you need some power leads or just after some deocrative lights for around your room or outside. We can help give you some ideas on how to make things look spectacular!

Do you setup the equipment and is it easy to use?
Yes we do. Not only is it safer if we setup but if the equipment is dry hired. You would need relevent insurance to do so.
In most cases if you have a speaker and lighting package on hire from us, it is just 2 switches for music, 1 for a microphone and the lighting will be linked to do the work itself.
Can you rent us equipment in a marquee?
We definitely can! – many of our events such as Agricultural Shows, Vintage Fairys, Fundraisers, Dog Agility days etc all take place using marquees so we find marquees no problem to hire to.
Our Wedding is in a venue and need some questions answering
That’s no problem, venues often need to check insurance, PAT Testing or even down to load in and load out times. We are always happy to work with a venue. Many venues in Pembrokeshire have a great relationship with us so whether it’s here or further afield. Let us know how we can help.
